Invasion Potential of Ornamental Terrestrial Gastropods in Europe Based on Climate Matching

Invasive species are one of the main causes biodiversity loss worldwide. Pet trade is a well-known pathway for introduction non-native species. Prevention most effective, least time-consuming, and financially demanding way to protect against spreading invasive The part prevention early detection potentially high-risk species, as well successful implementation strategies in legislation practice. This study summarizes pre-introduction screening pet-traded terrestrial gastropod their potential occurrence EU territory.
